Qa/qc Technician

Job Title: QA/QC Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated QA/QC Technician to join our team and support our Quality Control laboratory. You will be working Monday through Friday during the first shift. Your primary role will be to assist in handling incoming samples and performing various testing activities to ensure quality standards are met. Responsibilities

- Support the QC laboratory with incoming samples and testing activities.
- Perform testing including melting point, viscosity, refractive index, and wet testing.
- Accurately enter laboratory testing results into the laboratory management system.
- Record and maintain laboratory data in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work closely with the laboratory team to support QC evaluation of incoming samples.
- Follow all safety requirements and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

- Experience in laboratory settings.
- Proficiency in quality assurance and inventory control.
- Capability in handling materials and sampling.
- Experience with analytical QC testing and data review.
- Strong understanding of chemistry and various testing methods such as UV/Vis, gas chromatography, and refractive index.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- AA degree in a science field or a BS degree in a scientific related field is preferred.
- At least 1 year of laboratory experience with attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a GMP food & beverage environment is preferred.

Work Environment The role is based in a laboratory setting, primarily working in the downstairs lab. However, there will be occasions when you will need to go out to the production floor. The company offers a supportive and engaging work culture, with family-owned values.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Abingdon, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
