Lab/Packaging Technician

Location: Ipswich, MA Job Type: Full-Time, Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab/Packaging Technician to support daily laboratory and operational activities related to materials handling, inventory management, packaging, and quality documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate looking to gain experience in a regulated scientific or manufacturing environment.
### Key Responsibilities
Receive, organize, and track incoming samples, materials, and supplies. Support packaging, labeling, and distribution of materials in accordance with established procedures. Maintain accurate inventory records and perform routine inventory audits. Conduct quality inspections on incoming and existing materials to ensure compliance with specifications. Prepare and stage media, reagents, and laboratory supplies to support scientific and operational teams. Utilize SAP and other inventory management systems to monitor material levels and support ordering activities. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate documentation. Ensure documentation complies with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
### Qualifications
Associate degree preferred, ideally in a scientific, technical, or related field. 1-2 years of experience in inventory management, materials handling, packaging, laboratory support, or a related environment. Experience working with inventory management systems, ERP platforms, or SAP is preferred. Familiarity with SOPs, sample management, reagent handling, and quality documentation. Exposure to GLP, GMP, or other regulated environments is a plus. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
