Digital Development Underwriter

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Digital Development Underwriter to join our Digital Commercial Insurance (DCI) team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the digital transformation of commercial insurance, helping to develop broker relationships, digitise books of business, and support the delivery of market-leading solutions. The role can be based from any of our UK office locations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with brokers across the UK to identify and digitise books of business, bringing innovative solutions to the market.
- Travel nationwide to build relationships, finalise deals, and help brokers transition their business onto Chubb’s digital platforms.
- Be the ‘boots on the ground’—understanding broker and customer challenges, and translating them into opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Support product and process development, collaborating with colleagues to deliver outstanding solutions for our clients.
- Underwrite cross-class small commercial business, driving growth and profitability.
- Assess portfolio performance and contribute to Chubb’s strategic goals.

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Previous experience in Property and Casualty underwriting.
- Ability to manage the needs of a broad range of stakeholders.
- Adaptability—comfortable juggling multiple priorities and handling unexpected challenges.
- Strong customer orientation, blending client needs with business profitability.
- Self-motivated and results-driven.
- Experience in digital or portfolio underwriting environments is a plus.
- Understanding of product development and the ability to turn insights into actionable improvements.
