ABOUT THE JOB
The Director, FP&A reports to the VP - Finance with high visibility to executives throughout MasterBrand. This role is a key contributor to the Finance and MasterBrand management teams, providing visibility into and analysis of companywide financials. This role provides leadership and oversight to the consolidation and reporting of financial information across all of MasterBrand. This position requires leading other teams without direct formal authority and effective communication with a wide audience crossing all functions of the organization, including executive management. The position coordinates and oversees all financial information to be compiled, managed and assessed includes standard monthly and quarterly reports and results, the strategic plan, board presentations, AIP, and other regular and ad hoc executive presentation decks. This role helps lead key planning processes and timelines related to the 3-Year Strategic Plan, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, periodic special modeling as well as regular monthly reporting. The Director, FP&A also provides leadership and direction to commercial departments and coordinates with and advises the Corporate Controller.
YOUR ROLE:
- Leads and sets direction with finance/accounting, commercial, operations, and central departments for the monthly close, consolidations, quarterly forecasts, annual planning and reporting
- Coordinates the consolidation of and interprets MasterBrand financial results to develop and highlight key themes contributing to performance and any developing risks or opportunities
- Leads development of framework for periodic financial projections bridging historic trends with future performance expectations based on internal and external data
- Leads FP&A team in facilitating the preparation of annual planning across the entirety of MBCI; provides leadership and best practices to strategic business unit finance owners and consolidates results from the annual planning process
- Tracks and reports key performance metrics consistently and accurately for commercial, operations and central, identifying key drivers and partnering with team to understand trends and identify countermeasures when needed; raises countermeasures and strategy to relevant functional areas
- Drives the FP&A team analysis of total channel, brand, and customer profitability, identifying recommendations and targets for improvement across the companies fixed overhead spend, as well as anticipating ad hoc analyses
- Ensures that MBC continues to provide internal reporting required of a standalone public company, as well as overseeing preparation of externally focused reporting for executive, IR and BOD
- Provides leadership and strategic oversight of the financial and reporting business systems, while partnering with IT to develop modernized forecasting and modeling tools
- Partners with Commercial Department leaders to develop budgets, assist in planning and tracking, provide visibility into performance and ensure proper management of spend budgets
- Acts as the chief financial adviser to the department leads listed providing day-to-day direction to the corporate controllers supporting those positions

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field required.
- MBA and/or Accounting Master's degree preferred; CPA (or Chartered Accountant equivalent) preferred.
- 10+ years of accounting, finance and/or FP&A management in a multi-site, manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP and cost accounting.
- Positive and solution-orientated attitude and approach.
- Experience in a multi-division company environment and in a public company setting a plus.
- Strong analytical, leadership and communication skills.
