Summary:

Our Thunder Bay location is looking for Sample Preparation Technicians to join our team! In this role, you will support our laboratory operations by preparing samples for analysis.

This position offers a 12-hour rotating schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off , providing consistent stretches of time off between shifts. The rotation includes both day shifts from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM and night shifts from 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM .

The expected wage for this position is $20.00-$27.00/hr.

What you will be doing:

- Unpack, sort, inspect, crush, and pulverize mineral samples using specialized laboratory equipment.
- Follow established standard operating procedures and safety protocols while completing required quality control checks.
- Accurately enter and maintain sample information in the computer system.

What you bring to the table:

- High School Diploma.
- Forklift certification or license is considered an asset.
- Ability to consistently lift up to 25 kg.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Commitment to producing accurate and timely results.
- Must be able to properly wear a respirator and other required PPE and follow all safety protocols.
- Must be flexible to work both day and night shifts, including weekends, on a 4-days-on, 4-days-off rotation .
