The Opportunity
As a Data Modernization [Health Services-Payer]-Senior Manager you will lead data engineering efforts that design and develop data solutions for clients, focusing on data pipelines, data integration, and data transformation within our Data and Analytics Engineering practice. As a Senior Manager you will lead large projects, bring a strategic point of view, and guide teams through complexity while using sound judgment, clear communication, and a steady approach to client challenges. In this role at PwC, you will shape data infrastructure and systems that help turn raw data into actionable insights, while drawing on your network, coaching others, and driving progress across multiple work streams.
Responsibilities
- Leading data modernization initiatives across healthcare payer environments, translating business needs into scalable data engineering solutions
- Designing and building data pipelines, data integration workflows, and transformation layers that support analytics and reporting
- Developing data architecture approaches that improve data flow, storage design, and system interoperability across cloud platforms
- Managing complex delivery efforts using Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake to move data from source to target environments
- Applying data modeling, dimensional modeling, and warehouse design methods to support dependable reporting and analysis
- Evaluating data quality, validation rules, and performance tuning opportunities to improve pipeline reliability and query response times
- Advising clients on data strategy, modernization roadmaps, and operating models that align with payer data requirements
- Guiding teams through ambiguous delivery challenges, coaching technical staff, and driving clear decisions on issue resolution
- Collaborating with business, technology, and analytics stakeholders to align technical solutions with reporting, security, and compliance needs
- Advancing data governance, anonymization, security practices, and platform standards across modernization programs
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 7 years of experience

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Analytics/Data Science, Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Operations/Supply Chain
- Demonstrating data modernization experience in payer health services environments
- Applying systems thinking to data architecture, integration, and transformation
- Leading client conversations through ambiguity and shifting priorities
- Coaching teams through complex delivery and decision points
- Crafting clear messages that connect technical work to business outcomes

The salary range for this position is: $124,000 - $280,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
