About this role

About the role

We are looking for a Relationship Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of business clients across the United States and Canada. You will be responsible for retaining revenue, increasing client activity, reactivating dormant accounts and identifying opportunities to expand each relationship.

This is a commercially accountable role. You will use client and transaction data to spot changes in account activity, engage clients before issues become losses and work with internal teams to resolve barriers to growth. You will also identify qualified opportunities for Sales and stay involved through the handoff.

About Us

Sokin is a next-generation B2B financial services provider, enabling businesses to make and receive global payments with greater speed, lower cost, and total transparency. Our mission is simple: we’re simplifying global business - so businesses thrive wherever they choose to grow.

We deliver services across:
· Global payments and receivables
· Foreign Exchange (FX)
· Treasury management
· Finance reconciliations

We are rapidly expanding, with established presence in EMEA, APAC, and North America. Backed by a strong global infrastructure and industry-leading partners, we are redefining how businesses move money worldwide.

Our clients span industries from sports and entertainment to logistics and travel, and our community is growing rapidly. As we continue to expand, we’re building a team of exceptional people who share our ambition to transform the future of global payments.

Key responsibilities

Manage and retain client relationships

- Own a portfolio of existing North American business clients and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Understand each client’s business, international payment needs and expected transaction activity.
- Identify declining usage, revenue risk and other signs that a relationship needs attention.
- Develop and execute plans to retain at-risk clients, with clear actions and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate account records, including client priorities, risks, opportunities and next steps.

Increase activity and account value

- Help newly onboarded clients reach meaningful transaction activity.
- Re-engage dormant and underutilized clients to understand what has changed and where Sokin can add value.
- Identify opportunities to increase usage of relevant products and services within existing accounts.
- Partner with Onboarding, Operations, Compliance and Product to resolve issues that prevent clients from transacting or expanding their use of Sokin.

Manage portfolio health

- Track revenue, transaction activity, engagement and risk across your portfolio.
- Prioritize your time based on client value, growth potential and likelihood of churn.
- Create targeted plans for high-value, at-risk and underperforming accounts.
- Provide regular updates on retention, activation, account risks and growth opportunities.

Generate commercial opportunities

- Identify expansion opportunities within existing relationships and through relevant client referrals.
- Qualify opportunities by understanding the client need, decision-makers, timing and potential value.
- Record opportunities accurately in the CRM and hand them to the appropriate Sales colleague.
- Work with Sales through the handoff to maintain a consistent client experience.

Represent the client internally

- Work closely with Sales, Onboarding, Compliance, Operations and Product to address client needs.
- Surface recurring issues and recommend improvements to the client experience.

How success will be measured

- Revenue retention: Retaining and growing revenue from the existing client portfolio.
- Activation: Helping newly onboarded and dormant clients begin or resume meaningful transaction activity.
- Account health: Identifying risks early and executing effective plans for accounts that need attention.
- Qualified pipeline: Creating well-documented expansion opportunities that Sales can progress.

What we are looking for

- Experience in relationship management, account management, customer success or a similar commercial, client-facing role.
- Experience managing a portfolio of B2B clients and being accountable for retention or growth.
- The ability to use revenue, transaction and engagement data to prioritize action.
- Confidence engaging senior client stakeholders and addressing difficult account issues.
- Strong organization, follow-through and CRM discipline.
- A proactive approach to client outreach, problem-solving and cross-functional work.
- Comfort working with North American clients whose business and payment needs may span multiple countries and time zones.

Helpful experience

- Payments, fintech, banking, FX or financial services experience.
- Knowledge of cross-border payments and the needs of internationally active businesses.
- Experience with activation, revenue retention or account health targets.

The person

You build trusted relationships, but you also know when to turn a conversation into action. You can distinguish an account that needs service support from one at risk of leaving, and you know how to engage the right people to move it forward. You are comfortable being accountable for the commercial performance of your portfolio.
