Job Description

This role is based at our Corporate Office in Menomonee Falls, WI. You’ll work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

About the Role

In this role, you will implement, interpret and manage assigned quantitative and qualitative consumer research, both strategic and tactical, to support Kohl's growth plans and strategic initiatives. You will collaborate with internal customers from marketing, merchandising, product development and digital/technology to guide and inspire decisions through the use of consumer insights.

What You’ll Do

- Ensure that reports and analyses measure the tactical performance of key execution on consumer attitude and behavior succinctly and comprehensively
- Design, manage and deliver results of consumer research studies and custom-designed strategic and tactical studies
- Generate statistical data from quantitative studies and insights from qualitative research, and prepare a written analysis of the research
- Combine learning from quantitative and qualitative methodologies to provide actionable business recommendations
- Identify and communicate consumer insights in an actionable and inspiring manner
- Advise and consult with internal business partners to understand and clarify business and brand objectives
- Establish research scope, methodology and necessary resources
- Partner with outside vendors and Customer Insights Manager to develop research objectives and RFP as necessary
- Collaborate with Insights team members on projects and developing insights
- Manage research projects by communicating requirements, monitoring research activities, identifying and addressing potential concerns and ensuring deadlines are met
- Identify key consumer insights to guide and inspire marketing, merchandising and other key functional strategies and decisions that will strengthen Kohl's brand and grow the business
- Consult on the development and execution of marketing, merchandising and other key functional initiatives by leveraging existing data and insights that anticipate consumer behavior
- Communicate written and verbal key findings and insights to internal partners and senior leadership
- Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You Have

Required

- Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of experience in conducting marketing research or applying market research to develop corporate strategy
- Proven proficiency using Microsoft Office/Google Suite

Preferred

- MBA or Master’s in Statistics, Economics, or other relevant degree
- Proficiency in SPSS (or other comparable statistical software)
- Knowledge and experience of research project management, utilizing syndicated data, managing customer panels, and advanced analytics
- Experience in corporate research or research supplier side
