Job Description:

The Undersea Systems Division at Leidos currently has an opening for Engineering Integration Manager in our Lynnwood, WA location.  This is an exciting role to lead a cross-functional technical team of engineers, technicians, and logisticians in support of underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, subsea telemetry, and ISR solutions for critical defense and national security missions.

This position provides senior technical leadership for a multidisciplinary team supporting customers with advanced maritime technologies, from prototype design to production processes.  From initial product concepts, to custom engineering, problem solving, to full system and sub-system integration, the Engineering Integration Manager leads the team through technical planning and execution for on-time delivery of exquisite systems to achieve top national priorities in defense.

The Engineering Integration Manager serves as the technical project leader for assigned projects and product families, connecting customer needs, technical staffing, systems engineering and engineering principles from testing, including production planning, execution, and documentation.  This position is expected to operate effectively in an environment with multiple on-going projects and important delivery dates to our end customers.

This is a unique opportunity for a player / coach with strong customer and personal communications skills, establishing project planning, problem solving, and technical rigor together into a disciplined and integrated operation.  The successful candidate will lead a team spanning systems engineering, electrical, electronics, and mechanical engineering, hands-on technicians, logistical and configuration management support, including manufacturing and industrial engineering and production support.

What You'll Do – Primary Responsibilities

- Provide hands-on technical leadership for the production, integration, testing, and sustainment of complex maritime systems.
- Oversee production and field issues through technical investigation, root-cause analysis, and implementation of practical engineering solutions.
- Improve system and sub-system product designs for manufacturability, reliability, maintainability, and cost while maintaining system performance and mission requirements.
- Interact with internal and external customers with high-touch communications to ensure timely resolution of issues to effectively deliver unique electro-mechanical systems.
- Oversee, review, and facilitate approval of technical data packages, including drawings, specifications, bills of material, work instructions, and other technical documentation needed to support production.
- Interact with quality, supply chain, facilities, and suppliers to address and overcome material, component, assembly, and logistics challenges.
- Ensure that configuration management processes are established and followed for product support, obsolescence management, design customization, substitutions, repairs, and upgrades throughout the product lifecycle.
- Provide technical support for fielded systems, helping ensure delivered products remain reliable, supportable, and mission ready.
- Assemble and lead multidisciplinary technical teams across systems, mechanical, electrical, software, test, manufacturing, logistics, and other engineering competencies to achieve customer objectives.

What We're Looking For – Primary Responsibilities

- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field , with at least 10 years of significant experience in technical leadership.

- 10+ years of experience with subsea maritime systems or integrated electro-mechanical systems.
- 5+ years of experience with leading multidisciplinary teams from benchtop testing and assembly, engineering development, testing, technical documentation, and product delivery.

- Strong technical problem-solving ability and engineering credibility , with the ability to work directly with experienced engineers, technicians, production personnel, program leaders, and customers to make sound technical decisions.
- Systems-level understanding of complex products , including the ability to integrate hardware, software, operational concepts, interfaces, test, manufacturing, and supportability into a coherent system architecture.
- Demonstrated success building and improving engineering and manufacturing organizations , particularly environments that are evolving from reactive, functionally siloed execution toward repeatable, integrated, and accountable product delivery.
- Experience transitioning complex engineering concepts to low and full rate production is preferred, with broad-based knowledge in integrating engineering, manufacturing, production, quality, test, supply chain, logistics, and program-management activities.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills , with the ability to establish technical direction, build high-performing teams, resolve ambiguity, drive accountability, and maintain momentum toward aggressive product-development objectives.
- Current, active SECRET clearance.

The Person We're Looking For—Preferred Qualifications

- Applicable experience in the industry may be possible in lieu of a degree
- Over 10 years leading design, development, and integration of complex subsea maritime systems
- Experience with Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs), deployed subsea systems, and underwater payloads
- Experience with manufacturing processes and procedure development
- Proven track record in product manufacturing and transitioning designs to production
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and quality-focused engineering processes
- Exposure to DoW program execution , including contract, financial, and subcontractor management.

## Pay Range:
Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
