FreeState Electric Cooperative is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator – End User Computing to own workplace technology from evaluation and implementation through support and retirement .
You'll have the autonomy to evaluate solutions, make technical decisions, automate manual work , strengthen security, and improve the employee technology experience across Microsoft 365, identity, endpoint management, Windows , Apple platforms , scripting, automation, and emerging AI tools.
What You'll Own
- Administer Windows, macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices; Microsoft 365; JumpCloud; endpoint and mobile device management; identity and access; endpoint security; VoIP; conferencing; and related workplace technologies.
- Provide Tier 1–3 support for assigned services and investigate root causes to prevent recurring issues.
- Evaluate technology and vendor solutions, recommend lifecycle improvements, and lead implementation projects.
- Establish endpoint standards, manage security controls, analyze service trends, and improve workflows.
- Use PowerShell, Python, shell scripting, APIs, automation, and Cooperative-approved AI tools for troubleshooting, log analysis, documentation, and process improvement.
What You'll Bring
- At least five years of progressively responsible IT experience, including independent administration of endpoint management, identity, or workplace technology platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and practical experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across endpoint hardware, software, access, networking, and security.
- Ability to make sound decisions with limited supervision and explain technical issues in practical language.
- Technical curiosity and a commitment to people, security, reliability, and continuous improvement.
