What Youll Do

- Analyze systems-level problems involving requirements, interfaces, dependencies, engineering data, tools, workflows, and multiple technical disciplines.

- Apply Systems Engineering fundamentals to understand requirements, interfaces, data flows, dependencies, tradeoffs, integration challenges, and verification of technical outcomes.

- Quickly learn unfamiliar engineering problems, tools, standards, and domains and begin contributing without already being the established SME.

- Apply analytical and data-driven thinking across mechanical, electrical, software, systems, and technical data problem sets.

- Support integration and interoperability of engineering applications, data, models, and workflows across Digital Engineering environments.

- Work across MBSE, PLM, requirements management, digital threads, technical data, CAD and engineering data, and related engineering workflows as customer needs require.

- Drive productive customer-facing technical conversations, ask the right questions, uncover the underlying need, and communicate effectively across engineers, SMEs, program personnel, and leadership.

- Take ownership of ambiguous technical problems by researching the issue, structuring the problem, identifying gaps, engaging the right SMEs, and helping drive resolution.

- Develop technical artifacts such as requirements analyses, interface definitions, data-flow descriptions, trade studies, workflow mappings, verification approaches, and integration concepts.

- Progressively develop the technical depth and confidence to independently lead engineering discussions and workstreams.

- Contribute as a practical, hands-on engineer who is willing to work directly in the problem space, not only coordinate the work.

Qualifications

What You Bring

Required

- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or another relevant technical discipline.

- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

- Strong technical problem-solving ability and demonstrated capacity to learn unfamiliar engineering concepts, tools, standards, and domains quickly.

- Working knowledge of Systems Engineering fundamentals, including requirements, interfaces, dependencies, data flows, integration, tradeoffs, and verification.

- Systems-level thinking and the ability to understand how engineering disciplines, technical data, applications, and workflows interact within a larger system.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply a data-driven mindset outside a candidate's primary technical specialty.

- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and contribute confidently in customer-facing engineering discussions.

- Ability to work through ambiguity, independently research technical issues, identify gaps, seek appropriate SME input, and drive problems toward resolution.

- Experience working with or integrating data between applications, engineering tools, analytics platforms, or technical systems.

- Strong written communication and technical documentation skills.

Preferred

- Experience supporting defense, aerospace, complex product development, manufacturing, sustainment, or another engineering-intensive environment.

- Exposure to MBSE, PLM, digital threads, requirements management, CAD or product data, technical data, Digital Twins, ALM or DevSecOps, or engineering analytics.

- Experience with interoperability, data modeling, APIs, data transformation, or cross-tool workflows.

- Exposure to engineering or lifecycle tools such as Cameo, Teamcenter, Windchill, Jira, GitLab, CAD platforms, requirements tools, or comparable technologies.

- Current DoD Secret clearance.

- Masters degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, or another relevant technical discipline preferred.

Compensation
Compensation will be determined in partnership with the Hiring Manager and may vary based on factors such as contract and labor category alignment, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications or licenses, and geographic location.
