This is a global individual contributor opportunity to take day-to-day ownership of a portfolio of business-critical Procurement and Legal applications, with an immediate focus on SAP Ariba and its integration with SAP S/4HANA. Reporting to the Director, Digital Legal & Procurement Systems, you’ll operate with significant autonomy, partnering with global Procurement process owners to translate complex business needs into well-designed, measurable digital outcomes.

You’ll combine deep end-to-end Procurement knowledge with strong product judgment and technical fluency, taking work from intake and prioritization through design, delivery, release, production support, and continuous improvement. You’ll investigate complex cross-platform issues through evidence and root-cause analysis, guide distributed technical resources and external service providers, and build the controls and documentation required for reliable, audit-ready enterprise platforms.

The role also offers the opportunity to get close to Generative AI tools and explore where AI-enabled approaches can improve product ownership, knowledge management, requirements, analysis, documentation, operational efficiency, and the broader digital experience across Procurement and Legal systems.

Here's What You'll Do:

- Own the end-to-end intake and delivery backlog for global Procurement and Legal systems, translating priorities into clear epics, stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
- Evaluate requests based on business value, effort, risk, and urgency, recommending whether work should proceed, be reshaped, deferred, or declined, while communicating trade-offs transparently.
- Translate business needs and end-to-end processes into clear requirements, process and functional designs, integration needs, test scenarios, and release plans.
- Apply pragmatic Agile practices to create clarity, accountability, and predictable delivery, facilitating only those processes and ceremonies that add value.
- Measure product health and outcomes through backlog quality, delivery predictability, release quality, recurring incidents, manual effort, control effectiveness, and documentation coverage.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of application environments, configurations, master data, dependencies, and integrations, using this knowledge to trace issues across SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA, and the integration layer and drive remediation where gaps exist.
- Lead major application releases from end to end, including impact assessment, environment and integration readiness, testing, defect resolution, cutover, and stabilization.
- Triage production issues, distinguishing isolated symptoms from systemic problems, and use ticket trends and root-cause analysis to drive durable improvements that reduce repeat incidents and manual effort.
- Ensure production issues have clear ownership and documentation and are driven through resolution to confirmed closure.
- Own the execution and continuous improvement of SOX-relevant application controls, including access and segregation of duties, change and release management, integration and data integrity, audit evidence, security and privacy, and third-party access.
- Maintain a comprehensive application handbook covering environments, configurations, integrations, controls, procedures, decisions, ownership, known issues, and risks, enabling future owners to transition effectively without costly rediscovery.
- Set priorities and allocate work across distributed technical resources and external service providers, reviewing quality, removing blockers, managing delivery commitments, and addressing quality or performance concerns to ensure reliable execution.
- Act as a trusted Digital partner to global Procurement and Legal stakeholders, helping define problems and desired outcomes, evaluate trade-offs, and translate priorities into executable work.
- Maintain transparency and effective partnership across Finance/AP, SAP and integration teams, Information Security, Internal Audit/SOX, Procurement, Legal, and service providers, surfacing risks early and escalating with a recommended path forward.
- Bring strong functional understanding across the end-to-end Procurement lifecycle, including supplier onboarding and lifecycle management, supplier master data, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, buying, invoicing, procurement controls, auditability, contracting, strategic sourcing, and RFPs.
- Apply functional and technical fluency across integrated SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA source-to-pay processes to investigate configurations, master data, access, transactions, and integrations, evaluate proposed solutions, and work effectively with technical specialists.
- Bring structure to ambiguity through dependable end-to-end ownership, maintaining clear decision trails, seeking and applying feedback, surfacing risks early, and following commitments through verified completion.
- Use learning agility and intellectual curiosity to quickly understand unfamiliar platforms, processes, and technical concepts and communicate them effectively to both business and technical stakeholders.
- Explore opportunities to use Generative AI and emerging digital capabilities to accelerate analysis, knowledge discovery, requirements development, documentation, operational support, and continuous improvement while working within appropriate enterprise controls.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications):

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience owning or delivering enterprise Procurement applications and complex, cross-functional technology initiatives.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Procurement processes, with particular depth in supplier onboarding and lifecycle management, supplier master data, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, buying, and invoicing, as well as procurement controls, auditability, contracting, strategic sourcing, and RFPs.
- Demonstrated product ownership experience across intake, value-based prioritization, backlog management, requirements, solution evaluation, acceptance criteria, testing, releases, production support, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated learning agility and intellectual curiosity, with the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar platforms, processes, and technical concepts.
- Demonstrated record of dependable end-to-end ownership, including bringing structure to ambiguity, maintaining clear decision trails, surfacing risks early, seeking and applying feedback, and following commitments through verified completion.
- Experience supporting integrated SAP Ariba and SAP S/4HANA source-to-pay processes, with the functional and technical fluency to investigate configurations, master data, access, transactions, and integrations; evaluate proposed solutions; and work effectively with specialists.
- Experience leading distributed technical resources, including setting priorities, reviewing work, managing delivery commitments, and addressing quality or performance concerns.
- Experience operating SOX-relevant enterprise applications and supporting access, change, release, integration, data-integrity, and audit-evidence controls.
- Strong critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and learning agility, with the ability to understand unfamiliar platforms, processes, and technical concepts quickly and communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

- Product ownership, implementation, or production-support experience with SAP Ariba in an SAP S/4HANA-integrated environment.
