Essential duties and responsibilities

As an IT Field Specialist, your role will be split evenly between supporting new site builds and special projects — installing, mounting, and commissioning IT infrastructure at newly constructed car wash locations — and providing ongoing maintenance and support for IT systems and equipment across our existing car wash locations.

New Site Builds & Special Projects

- Serve as a primary, hands-on resource for new site builds, leading IT infrastructure installation from initial construction through site go-live.
- Assist with new site builds: Pull network cables and physically mount and connect servers, switches, routers, and other hardware components in server racks or cabinets.
- Support special IT projects across the site portfolio, including equipment rollouts, system upgrades, and other initiatives outside of routine maintenance.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors during new site construction phases to ensure IT readiness for go-live.
- Install, configure, and test new equipment.
- Travel extensively to new build and existing sites across multiple states, including multi-day trips as needed to meet construction and installation timelines.
- Part sourcing and ordering

Site Maintenance & Support

- Responsible for IT maintenance and completion of service requests.
- Preventative maintenance on IT equipment and systems.
- Documentation of service, preventative maintenance, and corporate credit card expenditures
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technological, software, and hardware issues as reported by on-site staff.
- Repair or replace defective components and parts.
- Monitor system performance and security to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
- Communicate effectively with on-site staff to understand their needs and address any concerns.
- Always adhere to all safety guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

- Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service.
- using power tools as needed.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking technologies.

Education and Experience

- Highschool diploma or equivalent certificate.
- Associates degree in IT or other related field preferred.

Physical Requirements

- Frequent overnight and multi-day travel required to support new build projects across Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
- Must be able to travel on short notice to meet new construction and installation deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to multiple sites per day.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds consistently, occasionally up to 70 pounds
- Ability to work in various temperature conditions including cold and hot environments.
- Must wear safety equipment when required.
- On-call in event of emergencies
- Ability to work weekends as needed.
