About the Role
The Stores Clerk receives, verifies, stores, picks and issues materials within the production stores environment to maintain accurate inventory, material traceability and efficient stock movement in accordance with operational, quality and compliance requirements.
Qualification and experience:
- Minimum Grade 12 / Matric.
- A qualification in Stock Control, Warehousing, Logistics or a related field will be advantageous.
- Minimum 2 years’ material-handling experience within a stores or warehouse environment.
- Experience using a Material Requirements Planning or inventory-management system.
- Experience within an electronic manufacturing environment will be advantageous.

Key responsiabilities:
Material Receiving and Verification
Receive and verify incoming materials against goods receipt documentation, quantities and applicable acceptance requirements to confirm the accuracy and condition of stock entering the stores environment, resulting in controlled receipts and accurate inventory records.
Material Storage, Picking and Issuing
Bin, store, pick, kit and issue materials against approved work orders and requisitions while applying prescribed storage and stock-rotation requirements to maintain efficient material availability and movement, resulting in the timely and accurate supply of materials to production.
Inventory and Stock Control
Maintain stock records, bin allocations, material-movement transactions and cycle counts throughout stores operations to monitor inventory integrity and identify discrepancies, resulting in reliable stock availability and reduced material loss, waste and damage.
Material Traceability and Documentation
Record and maintain goods receipt information, stock transactions, serial numbers, lot details and supporting inventory documentation to provide complete traceability across material movements, resulting in accurate, verifiable and audit-ready inventory records.
Stores Compliance and Material Handling
Apply prescribed MRP, FIFO, lot-control, ESD, RoHS, REACH, occupational health and safety, ISO and material-handling requirements across stores activities to protect materials and control operational risks, resulting in a safe and compliant stores environment.
