Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Department

Now is the time to come join our Mercyhealth Walworth Emergency Department. We are hiring for Full-Time, Part-Time and PRN with a variety of shift options available.

All positions are eligible for up to a $10,000 sign on bonus.

Our Emergency Department, located on highways 50 & 67 in Lake Geneva, WI, includes the following highlights:

- Walworth Campus Emergency Department is an 11 bed, 2 trauma Bed Emergency Department and Urgent Care
- This campus has applied for level 4 trauma designation
- ASRH (Acute Stroke Ready Hospital) designation, ensuring rapid response for stroke patients
- 24/7 Hospitalist and Emergency physicians in-house
- 24/7 Leadership, shift coordinators and resource nurses on-site

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Processes orders and patient charges in an accurate and timely manner.
- Answers the telephone and call lights in an appropriate and timely manner, providing information or relaying messages to patients and staff.
- Directs visitors to patients' rooms.
- Maintains medical records of current patients.
- Maintains supplies, including scanning, stocking, and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies.
- Provides patient care as assigned and per routine, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures according to CNA job duties and expectations
- Documents care provided according to standards.
- Maintains a clean work and patient environment.
- Floats to various units based on identified needs.
- Participates in department and unit performance improvement activities.
- Verifies accuracy of charges entered
- Facilitates a welcoming environment assisting with visitor wayfinding.
- Assemble patient folders and charts for unit
- Rauland responder/Vocera/versus set up for new staff

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Completion of a CNA program.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

- WI Nursing Assistant Certification is required.
- Approved CPR within 90 days.

LEVEL OF SUPERVISION

Responsibilities include interviewing, and training CNAs; planning, assigning, and directing work.

PAY RANGE:

$18.65 - $27.04
