Position Summary:

Join our team as a Trade Compliance Specialist. This team ensures the accuracy of import/export data and customs records. The Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible ensuring an optimal flow of merchandise in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The successful candidate must be aware of all aspects of importing and exporting goods from the U.S. This position reports to the Manager - Trade Compliance. This role is eligible to be based out of the following US locations; El Cajon, CA, or Gainesville, GA.

Position Responsibilities:

- The Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for our shipping operations, ensuring an optimal flow of merchandise in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Serve as internal import/export expert
- Perform daily compliance screenings against OFAC sanctions
- Identify, reconcile, and resolve any issues in a prompt and timely manner
- Review shipments to determine and advise relevant partners as to USMCA status of goods contained
- Maintain records required for trade compliance in keeping with internal policies and applicable laws and regulations
- Assign and audit material classifications; Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Schedule B
- Follow-up and resolve messages for filings with CBP
- Identify issues and continuous improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with the appropriate departments to resolve issues and address opportunities
- Partner with the Senior Manager Compliance to ensure procedures and SOPs are current and accurately reflect the business operations and practices
- Assist with preparation and filing of annual reports, reconciliation reports, and certification letters
- Participate in continuing education related to international trade, and governmental regulations that may affect the import and export operations of Fox Factory

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

- Experience using Oracle or comparable ERP solution
- Knowledge of practical regulations & application
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Knowledge of harmonized tariff codes
- Strong analytical and organizational skills

Position Qualifications:

Education:

- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Two (2) or more years’ experience in Trade Compliance or International Supply Chain and Logistics

Experience:

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel required
- Willingness and ability to travel to FTZ locations as needed
- Exposure working with customs brokers
- Experience working with US Customs and Border Protection
- Experience with Import and Export processes

Compensation Range

$69,809.82 - $95,988.78

The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Fox reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
