Valeris is seeking a Director, IT Project Management Office (PMO) & Technology Transformation to lead a small IT PMO while personally serving as the lead Project Manager on two of the company's largest active technology transformation initiatives. This is a dual-mandate role: roughly ¼ PMO leadership (governance, standards, reporting, and a small team of project managers) and ¾ hands-on delivery leadership of complex, cross-functional programs.

The ideal candidate has run enterprise-scale technology transformation programs, can stand up lightweight-but-effective PMO governance, and is equally comfortable in the boardroom translating program status for executives and in the weeds with workstream leads resolving a blocked dependency. This role reports to the VP, IT Technology Business Management, and partners closely with IT leadership, business sponsors, and external implementation partners.

Key Responsibilities:

IT PMO Leadership

- Manage a lean, right-sized IT PMO — establishing governance routines and consistent project management standards across the IT project portfolio.

- Define and maintain PMO methodology, templates, and tools (status reporting, RAID logs, stage-gate/change control) appropriate to project size and risk.

- Manage, coach, and develop a small team of project managers; assign and balance workload across the active IT project portfolio.

- Own portfolio-level reporting — consolidated status dashboards, risk/issue heatmaps, and executive summaries for IT and business leadership.

- Partner with the VP, IT Technology Business Management to align the IT project portfolio with budget, resource capacity, and business priorities.

- Drive continuous improvement of PMO processes based on lessons learned and delivery outcomes across the portfolio.

Program/Project Management — IT Transformation Initiatives

- Serve as the lead Project Manager for two large, concurrent technology transformation initiatives, each spanning multiple workstreams (e.g., CRM, Portals, Integrations, Data and Analytics, Data Migration, etc.).

- Develop and maintain comprehensive implementation plans and timelines, including technical systems, infrastructure, data migration, communications, and process alignment.

- Translate executive sponsor goals into clear transformation roadmaps aligned to business outcomes, operational scalability, and growth.

- Track and update project milestones, proactively identify bottlenecks and dependencies, and escalate risks to senior leadership with recommended mitigations.

- Facilitate regular status meetings and steering committee sessions; prepare and distribute agendas, decisions, action items, and follow-ups.

- Maintain issues-and-decisions registries, documenting owners, decisions, and deadlines across both initiatives.

- Coordinate cross-functional teams (IT, security, operations, finance) and external vendors/consultants supporting each initiative.

- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and security standards, coordinating audits and control validation as needed.

- Drive post-implementation reviews, capturing lessons learned and measuring success against defined outcomes/KPIs.

- Act as a strategic integrator across both initiatives — breaking down silos, managing interdependencies between the two programs, and keeping delivery outcome-driven.

- Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned

Valeris Values

- Utilize Valeris’ values as the driving force behind the team’s success

- On time adherence to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures

- Ensure all SOPs are followed with consistency

- 12+ years of progressive project/program management experience, including experience managing a PMO and a team of project managers.

- Demonstrated success leading large-scale technology or business transformation initiatives (e.g., CRM implementations, M&A integrations, platform migrations) from planning through post-go-live stabilization.

- Experience building or maturing PMO governance — intake, prioritization, status reporting, and stage-gate processes — in a matrixed organization.

- Familiarity with enterprise technical systems and architectures such as Salesforce, Genesys, PrimeRx, HRIS, data migration, and cloud/SaaS platforms.

- Proficiency with project and portfolio management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, or ServiceNow).

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting program status to senior/executive leadership.

- Strong influencing ability — guides without formal authority and secures stakeholder buy-in across functions.

- Ability to manage multiple large, concurrent priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
