About the Role

As Director, Supply Chain, you will own and build out the non-vehicle supply chain function at Moove AV — procurement, purchasing, inventory, and vendor management — across all business units and markets. This is a tactical, hands-on leadership role: you will design the processes, policies, and systems that don’t fully exist yet, stand up formal RFP and competitive sourcing cycles, and negotiate the contracts and terms that will scale with the business.

You will report to the Head of Finance, and lead a team covering purchasing, inventory & receiving, and vendor relations & contracts. You will partner closely with Finance/AP, Operations, Legal, and the Head of Vehicle Procurement & Strategic Sourcing. This is an excellent opportunity for a builder who wants to stand up a supply chain organization from the ground up at a fast-scaling, capital-intensive business.

What You'll Be Doing

Process & Program Design

- Design and implement formal, scalable procurement processes, policies, and approval workflows across all entities and markets (US, UK, and beyond).
- Build the purchase order lifecycle end to end — requisition, approval routing, issuance, and three-way match with receiving and AP.
- Establish supply chain governance and controls appropriate for an audited, multi-entity organization; document SOPs and train the business on them.

Strategic Sourcing & RFP Management

- Stand up and run recurring RFP / competitive bid cycles for non-vehicle spend categories (facilities, equipment, MRO, software, professional services, logistics, and other indirect spend).
- Develop sourcing strategies and category plans; define evaluation criteria and lead cross-functional bid evaluations.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and service levels with vendors, balancing cost, quality, and delivery risk.

Contract Negotiation & Vendor Management

- Negotiate and structure master service agreements (MSAs), statements of work, and renewals; optimize payment terms, pricing tiers, and rebate/volume structures.
- Own the vendor lifecycle — onboarding, credit applications, performance scorecards, risk reviews, and offboarding — in partnership with AP and Legal.
- Build and maintain a preferred-vendor program and manage escalations and disputes.

Inventory & Operations

- Oversee inventory control, receiving, and stock accuracy across depots and markets; set cycle-count and reconciliation cadences.
- Partner with Field/Regional Finance and Operations to align supply chain capacity with fleet growth and market launches.
- Track and report spend visibility, savings, cycle times, and vendor compliance KPIs to Finance leadership.

Team Leadership

- Lead and develop the Purchasing Manager, Inventory & Receiving Manager, and Vendor Relations & Contracts Specialist, scaling the team as the business grows.

What You'll Need for This Position

Required

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. MBA is a plus
- 7+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or vendor/contract management, including building processes from scratch.
- Demonstrated experience running RFP / competitive sourcing cycles and negotiating vendor contracts, MSAs, and commercial terms.
- Experience designing purchase order, receiving, and inventory workflows and controls.
- Strong negotiation and commercial acumen, with a track record of measurable cost savings and improved terms.
- Experience managing and developing a team.
- Comfortable operating in an ambiguous, fast-scaling, multi-entity and multi-market environment.

Preferred

- Experience in mobility, autonomous vehicles, fleet, logistics, or automotive industries.
- Experience implementing or working within a modern ERP / procurement system (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar).
- Background at a high-growth or resource-constrained startup.
- CPSM, CSCP, or similar supply chain / procurement certification are a plus.
