[What the role is]
School of Applied Science - Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Continuing Education & Training)

[What you will be working on]

• Design and develop curriculum of Continuing Education & Training (CET) programmes in at least two of the following subject areas:

i. AI Applications in Science and Digitalisation

ii. Environmental Services and Sustainability

iii. Agricultural Sciences

iv. Food Manufacturing and Services

v. Nutrition, Health and Wellness

vi. Data Science and Bioinformatics

vii. Biological and Pharmaceutical Sciences

viii. Radiation Protection and Safety

• Deliver planned curriculum to adult learners on scheduled weekday evenings or on weekends and participate in assessment activities

• Provide mentorship to adult learners to strengthen their workplace learning

• Contribute to industry engagement related activities and support companies in developing and implementing structured on-the-job training (OJT) plans.

• Lead or participate in applied research and workplace consultancy projects

[What we are looking for]

• Relevant qualification in Applied Sciences, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or other related disciplines.

• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in Science, Education, Marketing, Workplace Learning, Business Development and/or Consultancy.

• Training and Adult Education (TAE) Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) certifications such as Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP), Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA), or Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) will be an added advantage.

• Passion for lifelong learning and the ability to facilitate learning for working professionals from diverse backgrounds.

• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to engage adult learners effectively and foster collaborative relationships with industry partners and stakeholders.

• Effective planning, organisational and classroom facilitation skills, with a focus on practical application and learner-centred teaching.

• Proficient in the use of digital learning technologies, AI tools and online collaboration platforms.

• Prior experience in consultancy and industry projects, and demonstrated ability to apply AI within scientific disciplines and translate industry use cases into practical, hands-on learning experiences will be advantageous.
