## What You Can Expect

The Quality Systems Sr Specialist role establishes coordinated work plans, standardized execution methods, and transparent performance management across Quality and Operations workstreams. A core responsibility is establishing policy-aligned AI-enabled tools, shared prompt libraries, and AI-agent practices that support consistent records produced by base engineers and senior engineers. By applying Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles, the Quality Project Manager drives predictable execution, improved first-pass yield, efficient use of team capacity, and sustained process improvement.

## How You'll Create Impact

- Establish, govern, and continuously improve standardized AI-enabled tools, approved prompt libraries, and AI-agent practices that enable base engineers and senior engineers to generate consistent, reliable project and quality records. Ensure use of these tools and shared information resources aligns with applicable Zimmer Biomet AI policies and approved ways of working.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain standardized transfer methods, templates, checklists, visual management tools, and project controls that give team members a predictable set of tools for executing Quality and Operations actions. Use performance data and team feedback to improve tool usability, consistency, and first-pass yield.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to identify waste, variation, bottlenecks, and rework in transfer-related quality processes. Facilitate Kaizen events and structured problem solving to improve flow, efficiency, action completion, and sustainable outcomes.
- Optimize utilization of Quality and Operations team members by coaching teams in use of standardized methods, AI-enabled tools, and continuous-improvement practices.

## What Makes You Stand Out

- Strong knowledge of project planning, risk management, milestone control, action tracking, escalation, and management reporting for complex, concurrent initiatives.
- Ability to establish standardized AI-enabled workflows, shared prompt libraries, and governed AI-agent practices that help base engineers and senior engineers create consistent records efficiently.
- Working knowledge of responsible AI use, including the ability to incorporate applicable Zimmer Biomet AI policies and approved controls into AI-enabled work practices.
- Practical application of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, visual management, standard work, and structured problem-solving methods to improve process efficiency and reduce variation.
- Ability to design and implement standardized tools, templates, work instructions, and dashboards that enable consistent execution and improved first-pass yield.
- Proven capability to analyze performance data, identify constraints and root causes, and convert findings into measurable, sustainable improvements.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to lead workshops, resolve cross-functional issues, and make clear recommendations.
- Ability to establish accountability, strengthen handoffs, and improve effective utilization of Quality and Operations team members across transfer activities.
- Proficiency with common project-planning, collaboration, data-analysis, AI-enabled productivity, and presentation tools.

## Your Background

- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience, or Associate's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 years of relevant experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in an analytical, engineering, scientific, quality, operations, or related field highly preferred.
- Minimum five years of project-management experience required, including experience leading cross-functional quality or operational improvement initiatives.
- Experience in a medical-device or similarly regulated manufacturing environment required.
- Experience supporting Manufacturing Transfer, Legal Manufacturer, or comparable product/process transfer activities preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or demonstrated application of Lean/Six Sigma tools and Kaizen methods preferred.
- Experience working effectively in a matrix organization required.

## Travel Expectations

Up to 5% travel, as required to support transfer activities, site engagement, and cross-functional project execution.

## Expected Compensation Range

$89,000 - $112,000 USD / Annual
