The Opportunity

We are seeking a Student Intern to support portfolio planning, project controls, and program coordination activities across a diverse project portfolio. This opportunity will provide hands-on experience working with project data, reporting processes, program metrics, and cross-functional business collaboration.

The Student Intern will gain exposure to project execution practices, governance reporting, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to effective project delivery and operational excellence.

What you'll do

- Maintain and validate project data within portfolio management systems, including Master Plan, to ensure consistency, accuracy, and data integrity
- Track, consolidate, and analyze key program metrics to support governance reporting and leadership reviews
- Assist with planning activities and coordination of program-level initiatives across multiple projects
- Support collaboration with stakeholders across Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and other business units to promote alignment and project progress
- Coordinate reporting cycles and standard work activities to support consistent and repeatable project execution practices
- Identify process gaps and inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance program delivery and reporting effectiveness

Minimum Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering degree program
- Completion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027
- Returning to full-time studies immediately following the work term
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work term

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with project planning, scheduling, or portfolio management processes
- Knowledge of project reporting, performance metrics, and governance practices
- Experience supporting cross-functional project coordination activities
- Exposure to data analysis, reporting, or continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience working with project management or enterprise planning systems
- Demonstrate a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting
- Exhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives
- Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
- Commitment to building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to accurately analyze information and deal with ambiguity
- Experience working in a dynamic and challenging environment, and adaptable to changing priorities
- Ability to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills
- Reflective and committed to continuous improvement and personal development
