Training Manager, Energy, Solar Manufacturing

Tesla is seeking a Training Manager - Energy to support Tesla Energy manufacturing operations at a massive 100 GW scale. This role is core to the leadership team of Learning & Organizational Development department. We are seeking an experienced Training and Organizational Development Manager to build and manage comprehensive training programs at our upcoming solar manufacturing facility.

In this launch role, you will help establish the training organization, standards, and timelines pre-SOP while partnering with Operations and Engineering ahead of production start. You will manage a multidisciplinary team who facilitate Onboarding, Leadership Development, and Partner with Content Development, Learning System teams. Direct reports will include Sr. Learning Specialists and Training Coordinators. The ideal candidate is driven, organized, and confident, with a proven track record of delivering training programs in fast-paced manufacturing environments and the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

This role will support Tesla’s mission of accelerating the world’s transition to building a world of amazing abundance. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Learning and Organizational Development and be a key driver of best-in-class learning solutions.

- Build, lead, and scale the facilitation and training delivery team, including onboarding, management and leadership development
- Collaborate with management to assess organizational training needs, identify skill gaps, and establish prioritized development plans aligned with business objectives
- Facilitate engaging, experiential onboarding and leadership courses as needed
- Partner with Engineering, Production, and Operations leadership to align training priorities with production goals and ensure seamless implementation of training solutions

- Degree in Management, Education or a related field preferred or equivalent experience
- Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Must have hands-on experience delivering classroom and on-the-job training
- Strong foundation in L&D principles, instructional design, and fundamental understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration. Demonstrated familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) applied to training and organizational development
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Capable of inspiring trust and confidence through effective communication and interpersonal skills with partners and employees at all levels of the company
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail; demonstrated accountability, personal leadership, and a continuous improvement mindset
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, with increased frequency during pre-ramp phases. And must be able to relocate
