About the role

The Content Editor and Interviewer leads entertainment research, scripting, and talent interviews for in-house programs in Türkiye. From idea to on-air, you’ll track new releases and industry news, secure and organize Electronic Press Kit assets with local distributors, craft voice-over and host scripts, and conduct backstage/on-set interviews that elevate the story. You’ll collaborate closely with Production, Control Room, Graphics/CG, Playout, PR/Comms, and Legal to deliver accurate, engaging, RTÜK-compliant content on deadline.

What will you do

- Research upcoming films and industry news; request, track, and organize EPK materials from local distribution partners.
- Write clear, engaging VO and host scripts; prepare interview briefs, angles, and question lists tailored to talent.
- Conduct on-camera and backstage interviews at premieres, junkets, and film sets; coordinate with field/studio crews for smooth shoots.
- Collaborate with editors and producers to shape promos/segments; review rough cuts and request revisions for clarity, tone, and pacing.
- Maintain an editorial calendar; align deliverables with broadcast rundowns and promotional plans.
- Ensure all materials (cuts, captions, graphics, music) meet channel standards and RTÜK rules; fact-check and clear rights with PR/Comms and Legal when needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with distributors, studios, publicists, and talent reps; manage timely asset delivery.
- Track performance (ratings/engagement) and competitor output; recommend content tweaks to maximize impact.
- Keep meticulous notes, metadata, and handovers for assets and interviews; maintain organized archives.

What will you bring

Essential

- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Radio/TV/Cinema, Media/Communications (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5+ years in entertainment journalism/TV production with on-camera interviewing and editorial scripting.
- Fluent Turkish with excellent writing; professional English sufficient for industry communication and terminology.
- Strong research, fact-checking, and storytelling skills; confident, personable interview style.
- Calm, deadline-driven execution; outstanding communication and teamwork across production functions.

Preferred

- Experience working with EPK workflows and distributor relationships.
- Familiarity with post-production (non-linear editing basics), CG/graphics coordination, and delivery specs.
- Knowledge of media law, permissions, and music/asset clearances for broadcast and digital.

What you need to know

- Onsite role in İstanbul, Türkiye aligned to production schedules; evening/weekend work and local travel to premieres and sets are common.
- Close collaboration with Editorial/Content, Technical Direction, Control Room, Engineering, Graphics/CG, Playout, PR/Comms, and Legal.
