This position is responsible for preparing, painting, refinishing, and tinting vehicles while maintaining high-quality workmanship and excellent customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has experience with automotive paint applications, color matching, window tint installation, and vehicle preparation techniques.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Automotive Painting
- Prepare vehicles and components for painting, including sanding, masking, priming, and surface preparation.
- Mix and match paint colors to manufacturer specifications.
- Apply paint, clear coats, and finishes using professional spray equipment.
- Inspect completed work to ensure high-quality appearance and finish.
- Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed.
- Maintain paint booths, tools, and equipment in a safe and clean condition.
Window Tinting
- Install automotive window tint on various vehicle makes and models.
- Cut and fit tint film accurately to vehicle windows.
- Ensure installations are free of bubbles, creases, and defects.
- Remove and replace tint when necessary.
- Follow all applicable state and local tint regulations.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
- Work efficiently while meeting production and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding job status and customer requests.
- Assist with other shop duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive painting, refinishing, or window tinting preferred.
- Knowledge of paint preparation, color matching, and spray equipment operation.
- Experience installing automotive window tint.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a shop environment for extended periods.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, and reach.
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Work in an automotive shop environment with exposure to paint, chemicals, and shop equipment.
