ENGINEERING INTERN – TECH SERVICES

Location: Kalamazoo, MI

Internship Summary:

This role would support the Technical Services team at the Zoetis Kalamazoo Global Manufacturing and Supply location. You would support various projects that would span the entire site. You also would have day to day responsibility for helping the production floor.

Internship Job Duties:

Students’ scope of work may include the following:

- Work under the direction of Tech Services on process improvement and problem solving
- Support implementation of tooling interchangeability program for blister packaging lines
- Develop audit-ready technical documentation, including detailed risk assessment
- Assist in validation of existing and new equipment
- Work to digitize current validation processes to allow for streamlined and efficient work
- Learn the operations of the site and help support the leaders and teams
- Utilize mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills

Internship Qualifications:

- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or recently graduated within the past 12 months).
- Self starter working with minimal supervision
- Must work well in a team environment
- Completion of at least one year of undergraduate studies and a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must be physically residing in the U.S for the entirety of the internship.

Physical and Time Requirements:

·         Use of appropriate PPE is required.

·         Must work near moving mechanical parts.

·         Colleague will work in a facility that manufactures Cephalosporins and must not be Cephalosporin sensitive.

Shift Hours:

1st shift — 40 hrs/week; flexible start/end times

The following hourly pay rates reflect the anticipated base pay for this position:

If the selected candidate is a student pursuing an Associate-level degree: $16.00 per hour

If the selected candidate is a student pursuing an Undergraduate-level degree: $22.00 per hour

If the selected candidate is a student pursing a Graduate-level degree: $32.50 per hour

If the selected candidate is a student pursuing a Doctorate-level degree: $36.00 per hour

The following hourly pay rates reflect the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Illinois (Chicago area), Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington (Seattle area):

Student pursuing an Associate-level degree: $17.00 per hour

Student pursuing an Undergraduate-level degree: $24.20 per hour

Student pursing a Graduate-level degree: $36.40 per hour

Student pursuing a Doctorate-level degree: $40.30 per hour
