Your Primary Responsibilities Include:
The Loan Administrator provides general administration and coordination in all areas of Loan Servicing. Known as the “knowledge base” of information, the Loan Administrator acts independently to determine methods and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level customer service to borrowers, clients, internal team members, and sub-servicer by responding to inquiries and requests within 24 hours and troubleshooting issues, and independently resolving and responding to field requests.
- Become a subject matter expert of Quontic’s loan servicing platform including a thorough understanding of the types of loans serviced and client dependencies on data provided by the platform.
- Help identify current technical gaps and process enhancements required to enable integration of additional loan types and to maximize automation wherever practical.
- Preparation and review of periodic loan process exception reports, delinquency reports, and other reports to communicate portfolio performance, borrower issues, and other key metrics to management to ensure accuracy of transactions processed by loan servicing subservicer.
- Thoroughly reconcile Mortgage Electronic Registration System (MERS) loan records and activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation of loan statuses.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address any discrepancies and maintain the integrity of loan data within the MERS system .
- Oversee and coordinate the pledge process with the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY) and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY), ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and regulations, and proactively address any issues that may arise during the pledge process.
- Conduct meticulous validation of loan sale transfers by collaborating closely with investors and subservicers, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to contractual obligations during the transfer process.
- Act as a point of contact for any inquiries or concerns, fostering strong relationships to enhance overall collaboration and efficiency.
- Employ advanced data analysis techniques to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and design intuitive, insightful reports that provide actionable insights to management.
- Perform special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent); OR associate degree and two (2) years of experience in functional area; OR high school diploma (or equivalent) plus four (4) years of experience in functional area.
- Additional three (3) years+ of progressive experience in functional area.
Additional Requirements:
- Proven skills and experience with loan administration functions.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office 365 and the following technology: Horizon Processing Systems.
- Knowledge of Compliance regulations and bank policies & procedures as they relate to Loan Administration and Servicing.
- Willingness to pursue continuing education, certifications, etc. as applicable to advancing in the organization.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to speak confidently.
- An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities change daily, and where employees wear many hats.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to think "outside the box" and prioritize tasks and decisions in a timely manner.

Benefits
This role's annual base salary range is $65,000 - $83,000.
