Data Loss Prevention Cyber Analyst

Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Cyber Analyst to drive the detection, escalation, and prevention of unauthorized data exfiltration. This role is critical to the integrity of BAE Systems’ cybersecurity posture, focusing on high-fidelity anomaly detection, threat modeling, and the strategic mitigation of data risks. The Analyst will leverage advanced analytical techniques to categorize threats and provide actionable statistical insights that inform overall cybersecurity strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Incident Management: Lead the analysis and remediation of DLP incidents, ensuring rapid escalation and resolution of potential data breaches.

Threat Modeling: Identify, develop, and refine threat models to proactively detect emerging patterns of data loss.

Technical Operations: Utilize Microsoft Purview to manage DLP policies, monitor data movement, and execute operational DLP workflows.

Strategic Analysis: Provide statistical insights and comprehensive reporting (standardized and ad-hoc) to leadership to support data-driven security decisions.

Cross-Functional Support : Collaborate with the Investigations & Forensics team, Security, HR, and Legal to provide deep-dive analytical support during complex security inquiries.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Four+ years experience in cyber or intelligence analysis
- Experience with Purview is required
- Familiarity with Arcsight, Splunk, Netwitness, Crowdstrike, and Archer
- Familiarity with data loss prevention and triage methodology
- Familiarity with investigative procedures and case writing
- Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex documents
- Ability to manage and apply structure to undefined scopes
- Excellent communication skills, including demonstrated proficiency in clearly communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences in business terms
- Must be proactive and have the ability to work independently/efficiently and to thrive in a fast paced environment, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and remote teams
- Must be able to operate under tight deadlines
- Must be able to learn quickly and apply new tools and techniques
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Data Loss Prevention, Insider Threat operations, or military counter-intelligence experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science preferred

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
