We help children ages 0 through 5 by supporting parents, providing connections to resources and programs, and offering ways to monitor and enhance early childhood development. Interns gain practical, hands-on experience with a focus on macro and systems-level advocacy. This position provides well-rounded experience in systems coordination, quality improvement projects, workgroup implementation, team management, and event coordination. This intern will be part of a larger team that provides support to other areas of the organization as needed.
This in-person internship will run from January 4th, 2027, through April 23rd, 2027, and will have a mandatory orientation according to the intern’s schedule at the Family Futures’ office. This internship can also be extended into the next internship period for a second semester.
Family Futures employees, volunteers, and interns serve as spokespersons and champions of Family Futures in the communities we serve. A position at Family Futures may entail the following: the use of a personal vehicle, lifting of boxes (roughly 25 lbs.), as well as attendance of community events outside of regularly scheduled hours. Job Overview:

Duties & Responsibilities May Include
- Assisting supervisor with the planning and implementation of quality improvement projects
- Building relationships with parent partners and other community stakeholders
- Coordinating and planning large group and community events
- Aiding in creation of monthly program reporting, outcomes, and evaluation
- Planning and attending various professional development and learning opportunities
- Attending various meetings and workgroups as a representative and advocate for the community
General Requirements
- Current college student or recent graduate
- Experience or interest in social work, advocacy, family studies, public health, or related field
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Effective time management and organization skills, even with frequent interruptions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work at least 15 hours per week
