About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Algorithm Development Manager to lead a high-impact team developing advanced computer vision, machine learning, and image processing solutions for next-generation semiconductor equipment systems. A successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong technical leadership to deliver innovative algorithm solutions that directly impact customer success and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

- Lead the development of advanced inspection and metrology algorithms for semiconductor wafer and advanced packaging applications.
- Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies in computer vision, image processing, machine learning, deep learning, and high-performance computing.
- Define algorithm architecture, technical strategy, and development roadmaps aligned with product objectives.
- Guide performance optimization for high-throughput production systems, including CPU, GPU, and parallel computing implementations.
- Establish robust methodologies for algorithm quality, benchmarking, validation, characterization, and performance monitoring.
- Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing algorithm engineering team.
- Drive hiring, onboarding, succession planning, and career development while fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous learning.

Product Development

- Collaborate with product management and applications engineering to translate requirements into differentiated product capabilities.
- Drive feature definition, prioritization, and execution plan across multiple product releases.
- Lead the investigation and resolution of critical customer escalations and field issues.
- Partner with software, HPC, and systems engineering teams across India and United States to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions.
- Drive end-to-end ownership of algorithm development, from concept and prototyping through integration, optimization, qualification, and product release.
- Collaborate with global teams to leverage common infrastructure, shared technology platforms, and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

- MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of experience algorithm development on large-scale hardware-centric system.
- 3+ years of technical leadership experience.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Experience with algorithm development for large-scale hardware-centric systems.
- Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional projects.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in semiconductor inspection, metrology, or related semiconductor equipment industries.
- Hands-on expertise in computer vision, ML/DL algorithms, and imaging systems
- Experience with GPU programming and high-performance computing.
- Strong technical communication skills.
