Spanish-Speaking Male Caregiver – Wheelchair Transfers & Respite (Chula Vista)
About the Role ComForCare Home Care is hiring a reliable male Spanish-speaking caregiver to assist an adult male with Cerebral Palsy in Chula Vista. This role involves providing hands-on respite care, assisting with morning routines, and helping the client with outings and errands. The client does not speak English.
Schedule & Location
• Location: Client’s home in Chula Vista
• Days: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
• Hours: Morning start between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM (roughly 5 to 6 hours per shift)
Key Responsibilities
• Full physical transfers (bed to wheelchair and vice versa)
• Morning shower assistance
• Driving the client to medical appointments in the client’s vehicle and accompanying him inside
• Assisting with grocery shopping
Requirements
• Fluent in Spanish (Spanish-only household)
• Male caregiver required based on client care needs and transfer requirements
• Physical ability to perform heavy transfers safely
• Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, active auto insurance, and vehicle registration (comfortable driving your own vehicle as needed)
• Registered CDSS Home Care Aide (or willing to register upon hire)
• Negative TB test result within the last 3 months
