As the Payroll Clerk, you will assist the Payroll Department in ensure accuracy in timecards, following up with employees and managers alike.

Location & Schedule:

- Woods Cross, UT

- Full-Time

- Monday - Friday

- 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Duties & Responsibilities:

In this role you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following job duties:

- Assist in semi-monthly payroll functions

- Assists the Payroll Manager in assigned tasks

- Compiles and enters payroll data, such as hours worked, sales or piecework, taxes, insurance, union dues to be withheld, and employee identification number from time sheets and other records; ensures employees are paid accurately and on time; and keeps payroll files up to date

- Checks time-worked inputs for calculating, coding, or other errors and makes applicable changes

- Understands Federal, State, and local wage and hour policies and employment tax laws; and performs action necessary to determine pay and deductions  including Federal and State taxes, insurance, retirement, union dues, savings, and other deductions

- Additional duties as assigned

Ideal Qualifications:

- Associate or Bachelor degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.

- Two or more years of accounting, payroll, audit, financial analysis, or related experience preferred.

- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet month-end deadlines.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

- Ability to pass a background check

- Authorized to work in the United States

- Requirement of Multi-Factor Authentication apps on cell phone

Physical Requirements:

- Prolonged periods sitting at a worksite desk and working on a computer.

- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
