Qualcomm's Marketing Organization is seeking a Senior Marketing Analyst, Investments & Operations to join the Marketing Investments & Operations Management team . This highly visible role serves as a trusted business partner to marketing leaders, providing financial oversight, budget management, operational support, and investment analysis across a diverse portfolio of marketing programs and initiatives.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring marketing investments are effectively planned, managed, and optimized while providing actionable insights that support strategic decision making. This position requires strong financial acumen, analytical thinking, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear business recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Budget Planning, Forecasting & Financial Management

- Partner with marketing leadership to develop annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts, and long-range strategic budgets.

- Build and maintain financial models, planning tools, and scenario analyses to support investment decisions and resource allocation.

- Prepare and manage forecast submissions through enterprise financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms.

- Monitor and manage departmental budgets, ensuring accuracy across monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles.

- Provide ongoing budget oversight, including spend tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, and risk assessment.

- Develop a deep understanding of business objectives and funding requirements to ensure budget plans align with strategic priorities.

- Communicate financial performance, budget changes, and year-to-date spending trends to stakeholders through regular business reviews and executive updates.

- Serve as the primary finance liaison for marketing teams, partnering closely with corporate finance organizations and business leaders.

Marketing Operations & Spend Governance

- Oversee end-to-end financial operations, including purchase orders, approval workflows, invoice processing, vendor onboarding, and payment management.

- Partner with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to ensure funding approvals, contract compliance, and accurate financial controls.

- Monitor spending trends and budget utilization, proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and areas requiring corrective action.

- Conduct monthly variance analysis to understand differences between actual expenditures and forecasted plans.

- Support accrual management, expense reclassifications, financial reconciliations, and ad hoc business analyses.

- Drive compliance with company financial policies and governance requirements while enabling efficient execution of marketing initiatives.

Investment Analysis & Business Performance

- Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing investments through ROI analysis, cost-benefit assessments, and performance measurement frameworks.

- Develop reporting and dashboards that provide visibility into marketing spend, investment efficiency, and business outcomes.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities, process efficiencies, and optimization strategies across marketing programs.

- Transform complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for both financial and non-financial audiences.

- Prepare executive-level presentations, business reviews, and recommendations that support data-driven decision making.

Strategic Initiatives & Continuous Improvement

- Help shape the future of marketing investment planning, budgeting processes, and resource allocation methodologies.

- Challenge existing processes and drive innovation through automation, simplification, and best-practice implementation.

- Support strategic operations initiatives that improve planning effectiveness, operational efficiency, and business performance.

- Lead special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.

- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the Marketing organization.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Business Administration/Management, Marketing, or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree and 4+ years of Business Administration/Management, Marketing, or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of Business Administration/Management, Marketing or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.

- 4+ years of experience in Finance, Marketing Operations, Business Planning, Accounting, or related business functions.
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Marketing, or a related field.

- Advanced to expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

- Experience working with enterprise financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, HFM, or similar platforms.

- Strong analytical, financial modeling, forecasting, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of data analytics, business intelligence, and visualization tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Experience developing executive dashboards and performance reporting.
- Experience supporting marketing organizations, investment portfolios, or budget management functions.
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive process improvement initiatives in a complex global environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
