Otis Elevator Company is seeking a Manager, Service Operations to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona . In this role, you’ll lead the day-to-day service operations for our service mechanics, primarily supporting our downtown Phoenix territory. You’ll coordinate field activities, support your team, address service needs, and help deliver a high level of service to our customers.
We’re looking for someone with strong elevator industry knowledge or relevant mechanical/technical experience who is ready to grow into an operations leadership role. Previous supervisory experience is not required, making this a great opportunity for an experienced field professional or project manager ready for their next career step.
On a typical day you will:
- Lead the day-to-day field service operations for a team of approximately 10 elevator mechanics
- Coordinate and schedule labor resources, service visits, and field activities to support customer needs and efficient operations
- Support the resolution of inspection-related corrections, missed work, service requests, and other field operational needs
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and customer service across field operations
- Develop and maintain professional, productive relationships with field employees, customers, and internal partners
- Communicate directly with customers, including helping resolve complex or challenging service situations
- Use Salesforce, CRM, scheduling, and other computer-based systems to assign work, coordinate field activities, and support day-to-day operations
- Identify operational challenges and work with the team to develop solutions that improve service delivery and efficiency
- Provide leadership and day-to-day support to field employees, helping ensure work is coordinated effectively
What you will need to be successful:
- Elevator industry knowledge and experience is required , with a strong understanding of elevator field operations preferred
- Candidates from adjacent industries may also be considered with relevant experience in a mechanical or technical environment , such as engineering, facilities management, field service, or similar work
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; a high school diploma combined with relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to build relationships and communicate directly with customers, including when resolving service issues
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate, and support field employees in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn scheduling, work management, and Salesforce/CRM systems
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities
