Clinical Specialist

EPIC Health Partners is seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Specialist to support our Community-Based Services programs. This position focuses on clinical documentation, compliance, quality assurance, and program support. Working closely with Program Managers and clinical staff, the Clinical Specialist helps ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with agency, payer, and regulatory requirements while supporting the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Complete accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, Individual Service Plans (ISPs), quarterly reviews, Service Authorization Requests (SARs), progress notes, and discharge documentation.

- Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with agency, payer, and regulatory requirements.

- Collaborate with Program Managers, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members to support quality service delivery and continuity of care.

- Assist individuals in identifying treatment goals and participating in treatment planning processes.

- Support authorization, reauthorization, and audit activities through the preparation and maintenance of clinical records.

- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development activities.

- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical, professional, and organizational standards.

Qualifications:

- Experience conducting clinical assessments, treatment planning, and completing behavioral health documentation.

- Knowledge of DBHDS, DMAS, Medicaid, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

- Strong written communication, organizational, and time management skills.

- Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office applications.

- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
