## We are looking for a highly skilled  " Senior Data Architect"  to join our growing data and cloud team in Mississauga, ON (Remote/Hybrid) . The ideal candidate will design enterprise-scale data architectures, build robust data pipelines, and implement scalable cloud-native data platforms on AWS/Azure.
This role requires a blend of strategic architecture expertise and hands-on engineering capabilities to transform complex data into actionable business insights while ensuring security, scalability, governance, and cost optimization. Role: Senior Data Architect (AWS/Azure)

We are looking for a Senior Data Architect to design and lead scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud data platforms across AWS and/or Azure .
Key Responsibilities
- Design enterprise-scale cloud data architecture, data lakes, warehouses & lakehouses
- Develop HLDs (High-Level Designs) and architecture blueprints for data platforms
- Design and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver & Gold layers)
- Define data models, integration patterns, governance and security frameworks
- Lead ETL/ELT, batch & real-time data architecture
- Drive cloud data modernization, performance and cost optimization
- Provide technical leadership and mentor Data Engineering teams
Must-Have Skills
- 8–10 years of experience in Data Architecture / Data Engineering
- Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure
- Expertise in Medallion Architecture, Data Lakes/Lakehouses & Data Warehousing
- Strong experience creating HLDs, architecture diagrams and technical design documents
- Strong SQL and experience with Python or equivalent programming languages
- Experience with Spark, Databricks, Kafka, Airflow/dbt or equivalent technologies
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data
- Knowledge of Data Governance, Security, CI/CD & DevOps
- Excellent architecture, communication and stakeholder management skills

- Databricks Certification
- Snowflake experience
- Data Mesh concepts
- MLOps / AI data platform experience
