Typical Schedule : Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00PM (Overtime Eligible)
Pay Range : Dependent on Experience and discretionary quarterly branch performance bonus

🔧 What We're Looking For
This is an experienced Technician III-level position . Candidates should be able to independently diagnose and repair a wide range of construction and rental equipment.
Required:
- 3+ years of professional diesel mechanic experience
- Construction equipment, heavy equipment, or equipment rental experience required
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic experience with:
Diesel engines
- Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems
- Electrical systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Pneumatic systems
- Drivetrains
- Experience performing both major and minor repairs
- Ability to independently diagnose equipment problems and determine the appropriate repair
- Experience inspecting, servicing, testing, and returning equipment to manufacturer specifications
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance, including fluid changes, lubrication, and inspections
- Experience completing accurate service and repair documentation
- Basic computer skills for service work orders, parts ordering, and maintenance records
- Ability to perform basic MIG and SMAW welding repairs
- Must have the necessary professional mechanic tools for the position, typically valued at $10,000+

🚜 What You'll Do
As a Technician III, you'll play a critical role in keeping Sunstate's rental fleet operating safely and reliably.
You'll:
- Diagnose complex equipment failures
- Perform advanced mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel repairs
- Troubleshoot Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
- Test equipment after repairs to verify proper operation
- Complete service documentation and warranty records
- Assist with field service and customer equipment needs
- Work independently while supporting the branch team
- Help keep equipment safe, reliable, and ready for our customers
