Inside Sales Representative

Location: Detroit, MI

Koil Metals is a wholly owned business of Cleveland-Cliffs and is seeking an Inside Sales Representative in Detroit, MI. This position is responsible for supporting customers, managing orders, maintaining strong customer relationships, and assisting with sales activities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Summary of Responsibilities:

- Provide outstanding customer service to existing and prospective customers via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Respond to customer inquiries, process orders, and provide product, pricing, and delivery information.
- Support sales efforts by identifying customer needs, generating quotes, and following up on sales opportunities.
- Handle inbound customer and sales calls, ensuring timely and professional resolution of requests.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers through consistent communication and service.
- Coordinate with operations, logistics, and sales teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and on-time delivery.
- Investigate and resolve customer concerns related to orders, shipments, billing, or product availability.
- Enter and maintain customer, order, and sales information within company systems.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to customer accounts and sales activities.
- Assist with account management and customer retention initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Previous customer service, inside sales, account support, or related experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to build positive relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Pre-employment background check, physical, and hair drug screen required.
