Nursing Analytics Administrative Analyst

Join UCLA Health and play a key role in advancing quality, safety, and performance across our Care Coordination programs. As a Patient Safety Specialist 2, you will combine data analytics, quality improvement methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration to drive meaningful improvements in patient care, operational effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.

In this highly visible role, you will partner with clinical and operational leaders to analyze complex quality and performance data, identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and develop actionable recommendations that support strategic and departmental goals. You will lead and support performance improvement initiatives, monitor outcomes, and help implement data-driven solutions that enhance care delivery across the health system.

The Patient Safety Specialist 2 is also responsible for developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards, reports, and presentations that provide meaningful insights into quality and operational performance. Using tools such as Tableau, Qualtrics, and Microsoft Office applications, you will collect, analyze, and communicate data that informs decision-making and supports ongoing improvement efforts.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare analytics, data analysis, quality improvement, patient safety, or a related field.

• Experience supporting Care Coordination, Case Management, Population Health, or similar healthcare programs.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, interpret data, and develop actionable recommendations.

• Experience supporting quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Qualtrics or other survey and data collection platforms.

• Knowledge of Visio or similar process-mapping software.

• Experience coordinating reporting, analytics, or data infrastructure processes.

• Familiarity with healthcare quality, patient safety, and performance metrics.

• Experience creating professional reports, presentations, and executive-level communications.

• Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools.
