Job Description

FLINT is seeking a Working Superintendent - Mechanical Maintenance with industrial maintenance experience and a Journeyperson Pipefitter certification for a permanent position in Port Moody, BC , starting October 2026.

In this position, you will enjoy a Monday to Friday schedule, 8-hour workdays, and benefits after 300+ hours worked.

This position does not include camp accommodations, living out allowance, or travel allowance. Therefore, it is best suited for local candidates ; however, those willing to travel or relocate at their own expense are also encouraged to apply.

Position Summary

This is a hands-on role combining mechanical maintenance, pipefitting, planning, and project coordination within an active industrial facility. Unlike a traditional General Foreperson position, there are no direct reports . The successful candidate will independently manage maintenance activities, coordinate subcontractors, and perform pipefitting and mechanical work as required.

Primary work will be based at the Port Moody Terminal , with occasional work at Burnaby and Nanaimo locations.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Valid Journeyperson Pipefitter Certificate.
- Experience in operating facilities, terminals, oil and gas, or heavy industrial environments.
- Experience leading work activities, coordinating subcontractors, or supervising maintenance projects.
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple small and changing scopes of work.
- Safety ticket preferred but not required: CSTS-09 or CSTS-2020
- H2S Alive
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- Fall Protection
- WHMIS

- Physically capable of performing demanding job tasks in various work conditions.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
- Must have own reliable transportation to site.
- Valid driver’s license and clean 5-year Driver’s Abstract with under 6 demerits.

Additional Information

This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
