Position Purpose
The Frozen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the frozen foods department, including merchandising, inventory management, customer service, product quality, and associate supervision. This position ensures the department maintains proper inventory levels, excellent product condition, attractive displays, and compliance with food safety and company standards while achieving sales and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities
Department Operations
- Supervise daily frozen department activities to ensure products are stocked, rotated, and presented according to company standards.
- Maintain department conditions that support sales, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
- Execute merchandising plans, promotional displays, seasonal programs, and sales initiatives.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities.
- Ensure department standards for cleanliness, organization, and product availability are consistently maintained.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide direction, coaching, and daily supervision to frozen food associates.
- Train associates on stocking procedures, inventory rotation, food safety, and customer service expectations.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a customer-focused culture.
- Assign and monitor daily work activities to ensure departmental goals are achieved.
- Support associate development and communicate company initiatives effectively.
Merchandising & Inventory Management
- Ensure frozen products are properly stocked, faced, and merchandised.
- Monitor inventory movement and communicate ordering needs to department leadership.
- Maintain accurate pricing, signage, and promotional displays.
- Minimize shrink through proper rotation, inventory control, and handling procedures.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and inventory counts as required.
Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service and assist customers with product selection and inquiries.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
- Promote a positive shopping experience by maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked department.
- Support company service initiatives and customer loyalty efforts.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company operating standards.
- Monitor freezer temperatures and product conditions to ensure quality and safety.
- Maintain proper product rotation and handling procedures.
- Promote a safe workplace and ensure associates adhere to all safety requirements.
- Support department readiness for audits and inspections.
Financial Performance
- Support achievement of department sales, labor, gross profit, and shrink goals.
- Assist leadership in identifying opportunities to improve department performance.
- Monitor product losses and implement corrective actions when appropriate.
- Support efficient use of labor and department resources.
