The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) supports clients in the Terros LADDER Program by providing transportation, client engagement, and program support in office, community, and other service settings. As part of the clinical team, the BHT assists with intakes, records, groups, treatment meetings, safety reporting, outreach documentation, discharge planning, referrals, community reintegration, and van maintenance. This position reports to the Site Manager.

Duties May Include:

- Conducts client intakes and maintains the quality, accuracy, and completeness of medical record

- Facilitates groups as assigned and documents interventions and client responses.

- Participates in treatment meetings and supports client orientation, treatment planning, and progress review.

- Engages clients, coordinates referrals and outreach activities, and documents all care coordination efforts.

- Shares client observations with the clinical team to support treatment planning and ensure client and staff safety.

- Coordinates and provides client transportation, including route planning, client communication, and collaboration with transportation partners.

- Reports safety concerns promptly and follows established safety protocols.

- Maintains community resources and discharge planning information to support continuity of care and community reintegration.

- Monitors and maintains program vehicles in accordance with Terros Health policies.

Qualifications

- Education – High School Diploma or GED, as well as a combination of behavioral health education and work experience totaling a minimum of three years or an associates degree in any field, plus two years of work experience in a behavioral health service delivery.

- Training preferred/required – Behavioral health service delivery experience preferred/required as applicable.

- Skills preferred/required – Customer service skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work independently with flexibility and within prescribed deadlines, and proficiency with computer-based systems including electronic health records, Microsoft Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products.

- Must have a valid Arizona drivers license, be 21 years of age with a minimum of 3 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Healths driving policy.

- Must successfully pass a TB screening and criminal background check.

- Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.
