This role provides strategic, operational, and top-level executive leadership for a single facility campus. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial stewardship, quality outcomes, patient experience, physician relationships, workforce engagement, and regulatory compliance. The AVP partners closely with the region's Chief Executive Officer, Chief Nursing Officer, Medical Staff leadership, and operational leaders to execute organizational priorities and ensure exceptional care delivery across the facility. The AVP serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and provides oversight for designated hospital departments and support services. This position supports organizational growth initiatives, performance improvement efforts, and community engagement activities.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education
- Required - Bachelor's in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field.

Work Experience
- Required - 7 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience in hospital operations, patient care delivery, or healthcare administration.

- Required - 3 years of leadership experience managing leaders and multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrated experience leading operational improvement initiatives and managing complex healthcare operations

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare operations, hospital administration, and healthcare delivery systems, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency, ancillary, and support service operations, with the ability to align operational performance with organizational objectives.

- Thorough understanding of regulatory, accreditation, and compliance requirements, including Joint Commission standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, patient safety requirements, infection prevention practices, and state and federal healthcare regulations.

- Exceptional leadership and team development skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Advanced strategic planning and execution skills to translate organizational priorities into measurable operational plans and successfully lead complex initiatives across multiple departments and stakeholders.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership, physicians, board members, team members, and community stakeholders while influencing decision-making and fostering alignment.

- Demonstrated project management and change leadership skills, including the ability to lead operational initiatives, drive adoption of new processes, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for hospital operations, ensuring achievement of organizational goals related to quality, patient safety, service excellence, financial performance, workforce engagement, and operational efficiency.

- Lead through change and organizational transformation, effectively managing ambiguity, and sustaining improvements across a complex healthcare environment.

- Analyze complex problems and make sound business decisions, utilizing operational, quality, workforce, and financial data to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

- Influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, physicians, clinical teams, and support departments, to achieve shared objectives and improve organizational performance.

- Oversee multiple operational functions simultaneously, balancing strategic priorities of the organization with day-to-day operational demands of the facility while maintaining high levels of service, quality, and accountability.

- Drive measurable improvements in key performance indicators, including patient experience, access, quality outcomes, workforce engagement, throughput, productivity, and financial performance

- Foster a culture of patient-centered care and operational excellence, that supports organizational values and enhances patient, team member, and physician experience outcomes.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
