The Emory University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a faculty psychologist to join the behavioral health team at Grady Health System's Ponce De Leon Center. The Ponce Center is one of the nation's largest and most comprehensive HIV prevention and care programs providing interdisciplinary care for more than 10,000 adults and youth living with or affected by HIV. Ponce partners with community-based organizations throughout metro Atlanta to address the complex medical, behavioral health, and social needs of its patients. This position is 100% focused on those living with HIV at Ponce (~7,000).

The ideal candidate will have expertise in clinical, clinical health, or counseling psychology, integrated behavioral health, and the provision of culturally responsive care for individuals living with chronic medical conditions. The psychologist will conduct comprehensive assessments and provide evidence-informed and culturally responsive psychological interventions to support adults, and ideally youth as well, in managing the emotional, behavioral, and social challenges associated with HIV and co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions. The psychologist will work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, case managers, dental staff, and community partners.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the psychologist will participate in scholarship, which may include interprofessional research focused on HIV care, health outcomes, health disparities, and behavioral health interventions. The faculty member will also contribute to the education and supervision of psychology trainees, psychiatry residents, medical students, and other health professional learners.

Applicants should:1. Have experience working in interdisciplinary teams in medical settings serving medically complex populations as well as ideally in integrated care contexts2. Hold a doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited graduate program and have completed an APA-accredited internship and at least one year of supervised postdoctoral training3. Be licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in Georgia4. Obtain board certification through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) within five years of appointment

A successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in:• Comprehensive assessment of individuals living with HIV and/or other chronic medical conditions• Behavioral interventions that promote medication adherence, engagement in HIV care, health behavior change, and disease self-management• Treatment and management of co-occurring medical and mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma- and stressor-related disorders, substance use disorders, and serious mental illness• Evidence-informed interventions• Trauma-informed and culturally responsive care for individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, gender, and sexual identity backgrounds • Psychosocial factors that affect health outcomes, including stigma, discrimination, housing instability, social isolation, and other social determinants of health• Interprofessional teamwork, collaboration, and integrated care delivery• Clinical teaching, supervision, and mentorship of trainees• Research related to caring for medically complex populations, behavioral health, health disparities, implementation science, or related areas
