The Department Specialist role is uniquely critical as it supports all DCs and our national teams: The major responsibility includes uploading all firms for our national monthly or weekly GMHC sales events. The DS also supports our Replenishment Managers and Replenishment team by enabling the delivery of a high level of service to both stores and customers. This role is responsible for generating and analyzing reports, collaborating closely with Sales and Distribution Center teams, creating firm and rush orders, and providing support across all critical functions that contribute to the overall success of the Replenishment team.

Main responsibilities:

- Run daily Out of Stock Reports each morning for Manager and team.
- Creating and analyzing reports with replenishment team.
- Rekey mark outs from the night before, as directed.
- Upload all advertisement distributions.
- Upload all product distributions.
- Monitoring Deliveries and following up on any discrepancies.
- Respond to any customer service inquiries.
- Creating rush orders for Stores as needed.
- Creating and releasing firm orders.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Customer Service and/or retail experience a plus
- Reading, writing, math and communication skills at a proficient level, verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Ability to follow verbal and/or written instruction.
- Working knowledge of procurement, logistics and inventory management practices a plus.
- Ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

- Some work to be performed in a temperature-controlled environment (office).
- Bending, stooping and pivoting required periodically.
- Spends long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
- Incumbent may use computers, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
- Workday is fast paced.
