Position Summary

The Supportive Housing Property Consultant plays a key role in ensuring residential properties within the Supportive Housing Program meet Charles Lea Center standards and provide safe, comfortable, and home-like living environments. This position is responsible for coordinating property inspections, maintenance activities, licensing compliance, capital improvement planning, inventory management, and administrative support related to facility operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Property Management & Home Reviews

- Conduct quarterly inspections of all residential homes and properties.

- Ensure homes are clean, hygienic, aesthetically pleasing, and consistent with neighborhood standards.

- Verify compliance with applicable licensing and regulatory requirements.

- Develop, implement, and update home review checklists within the UpKeep system.

- Identify needed repairs and coordinate corrective actions through internal and external resources.

- Monitor lawn care, landscaping, and general property appearance.

- Provide recommendations regarding furnishings, décor, and overall home-like environments.

- Assist in implementing workplace safety policies and standards.

- Participate regularly in Safety and Risk Management Committee meetings.

Maintenance Coordination

- Oversee the administrative functions of the UpKeep maintenance management system.

- Generate reports and monitor routine maintenance requests and work order completion.

- Assign work orders and inspection findings to maintenance staff for follow-up.

- Maintain documentation of completed inspections and maintenance activities.

- Coordinate with Maintenance Technicians and the Operations Manager to address ongoing maintenance concerns.

- Ensure maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts are adequately stocked.

- Assist with planning and managing capital improvement projects.

- Coordinate with the HUD Coordinator to identify funding sources for non-routine maintenance needs.

Administrative Support

- Manage department correspondence, phone calls, and recordkeeping.

- Order and maintain inventories of supplies and equipment.

- Update asset and equipment information within the UpKeep system.

- Review system analytics and communicate trends, concerns, and recommendations.

- Track expenses, project progress, and work order completion.

- Collaborate with Finance and Residential teams to develop home furnishing and maintenance budgets.

- Communicate safety, compliance, and risk-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

- Coordinate follow-up activities with the Director of Operations.

Additional Responsibilities

- Support organizational initiatives related to facility management and housing quality.

- Assist with special projects as assigned.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

- High School Diploma or GED required.

- Associate degree in Facilities Management, Property Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

Experience

- Experience coordinating maintenance, facilities, property management, or operations activities preferred.

- Experience working with electronic work order or maintenance management systems preferred.

- Experience tracking projects, budgets, or vendor services preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities

- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

Work environments may include:

- Residential homes and apartments where supported individuals live.

- Community locations and service settings.

- Program facilities, classrooms, and industrial work environments.

- Regular use of computers, laptops, mobile devices, household appliances, and agency vehicles.

Travel Requirements

- Frequent local travel is required to conduct inspections of homes, grounds, and residential properties.

Physical Requirements

This role involves regular standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and hands-on support. Reasonable accommodations are available.
