The Global Labeling System (GLS) is Boston Scientific’s enterprise labeling system, supporting labeling development and production printing processes worldwide. In this role, you will serve as a subject-matter expert for our current-generation labeling platform, GLS3, while helping enable our next-generation platform, GLS4.
You will play a key role in developing and maintaining GLS4 work instructions and processes, supporting system requirements and testing, delivering training, and providing technical support across labeling design and production environments. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of Boston Scientific’s global labeling capabilities while partnering with teams across a highly regulated, technology-driven environment.
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include:
- Serve as a technical subject-matter expert for GLS3 and GLS4 across labeling design and production operations.
- Develop, maintain and own GLS4 work instructions, standard processes and supporting documentation.
- Provide input into GLS4 business and system requirements to support labeling design and production needs.
- Support GLS4 system testing activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT), issue documentation, retesting and implementation readiness.
- Develop and deliver training materials and resources to support effective adoption and use of GLS4.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for GLS3 and GLS4 users across design and production environments.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify process improvements, standardize labeling workflows and support successful system implementation.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the medical device industry or another highly regulated industry.
- Experience with labeling software applications such as PRISYM 360, NiceLabel or Loftware.
- Knowledge of graphic processing and label artwork workflows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Experience developing and delivering presentations.
- Experience working with quality systems and basic operational or quality metrics.
- Experience providing technical support or training and communicating technical information to cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience developing work instructions or standard operating procedures.
- Extensive medical device labeling experience.
- Experience working with Zebra, Belmark or Domino printers.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
- Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity and improve work processes.
- Experience with IT validation processes, including requirements development, UAT and formal system testing.
- Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional technical and operational teams.
