About Our Opportunity

As a member of the Digital Health Initiatives and Governance team, you will help advance Nova Scotia's digital health priorities through strategic planning, governance, performance measurement, and cross-system collaboration.

You will work with partners across government, health organizations, and pan-Canadian digital health initiatives to provide analysis, advice, and coordination that support informed decisions and maximize the value of digital health investments.

Primary Accountabilities

As a Digital Health Lead, you will:

- Support strategic planning and governance activities that advance provincial digital health priorities.

- Monitor progress across digital health initiatives and provide analysis to support planning and decision-making.

- Develop and report on performance measures, outcomes, and benefits realization.

- Prepare briefing materials, recommendations, and governance documentation for senior leadership.

- Coordinate engagement with partners across government, health organizations, and pan-Canadian digital health initiatives.

- Research emerging trends and leading practices to inform strategy, policy, and program development.

- Support initiatives that strengthen digital health services and health system transformation.

Qualifications and Experience

You have a bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

You have demonstrated experience in several of the following areas:

- Project, program, or portfolio delivery.

- Strategic planning and governance.

- Research and policy analysis.

- Executive briefings and recommendations.

- Performance measurement and evaluation.

- Stakeholder engagement and facilitation.

- Digital or health system transformation.

- Public sector, healthcare, or digital service delivery.

Experience working across government, healthcare, clinical, or technology environments is considered an asset.

You are a strategic and analytical professional who thrives in complex environments and can translate evidence, diverse perspectives, and competing priorities into practical advice and solutions. You are a skilled communicator who adapts your approach to different audiences, builds strong relationships through collaboration, and demonstrates sound judgment in your work. Organized, proactive, and adaptable, you are equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team, identifying risks early, and remaining focused on achieving results as priorities evolve.

Working Conditions

- The normal work week is 35 hours, based on 7 hours per day.

- Occasional overtime may be required.

- This position requires in-person attendance five days per week at the Department of Health and Wellness office in downtown Halifax.

Pay Grade: PR 17

Salary Range: $3,410.48 - $4,005.58 Bi-Weekly
