Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $124,200.00 – $207,000.00. This role is eligible for an incentive target of up to 20% or $, based on the achievement of individual and company performance objectives in accordance with the current terms of the incentive program which are subject to change.

Position Details

The Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy serves as a key partner in developing and refining Grainger's corporate and business unit strategy. The leader crafts the organization's long term roadmap and identifies critical customer, competitive and macroeconomic trends impacting the business. The role works closely with leaders across the organization on decisions that help improve our market share, profitability, and competitive advantage in a rapidly changing industry. The leader works directly with the Director and VP of Corporate Strategy, Analytics and the GLT (CEO and direct reports). The role also leads a small, high-performing team.

This is a hybrid position that is based onsite in Lake Forest 2-3 days a week.

You Will

- Drive cross-functional strategy initiatives that shape the direction of the company across corporate and business unit levels.

- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, bringing a confident point of view and strong communication skills.

- Support the aligned executive team on regular cadence of internal or external discussions and presentations.

- Lead a team of strategy managers and analysts, setting a high bar for analytical rigor, storytelling and execution

You Have

- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred

- 7+ years Consulting experience from a strategy consulting firm, including generalist experience across multiple industries. required

- Experience with competitive analysis, strategic synthesis, and executive-level storytelling. (Intermediate proficiency)

- Experience in corporate development, M&A, or corporate venture capital. (Intermediate proficiency)

- Advanced experience bringing structure to ambiguous problems, framing key questions and developing a work-plan to answer them

- Analytical and financial skills; Excel proficiency required

- Advanced experience building presentations with PowerPoint (deck writing) with messaging appropriate for audiences at all levels
