The Vice President, M&A at Iterative Health will lead the evaluation, structuring, negotiation, and execution of strategic acquisitions and other inorganic growth opportunities. Partnering closely with the Chief Development Officer, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams, this leader will own the end-to-end transaction lifecycle, from market mapping and partial target sourcing through due diligence, closing, and post-acquisition integration. This individual will also help establish a disciplined, scalable M&A function that supports the company's long-term strategic and financial objectives, including opportunities to expand our clinical research site network through acquisitions and de novo development.
Where You’ll Drive Impact
M&A Strategy & Sourcing
- Partner with the Chief Development Officer, executive leadership and both internal and external stakeholders to lead the identification, evaluation, structuring, negotiation, and execution of acquisitions and other strategic transactions that advance Iterative Health's growth strategy.
- Develop and execute an M&A strategy aligned with company growth priorities and financial objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize acquisition and de novo opportunities across clinical research, healthcare services, life sciences, and adjacent markets.
- Build a robust pipeline of acquisition targets through industry relationships, proprietary sourcing, investors, and external advisors.
- Conduct market mapping and competitive analysis to assess strategic fit, growth potential, and value creation opportunities.
Transaction Execution & Due Diligence
- Lead the end-to-end M&A lifecycle, including valuation, financial modeling, due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, and closing.
- Coordinate cross-functional diligence across finance, legal, operations, people, technology, and regulatory functions to identify risks and opportunities.
- Develop acquisition models, return analyses, pro forma projections, and assessments of synergies, capital requirements, and transaction economics.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors to structure transactions, negotiate terms, and manage documentation through close.
Site Expansion & Integration
- Evaluate acquisition and de novo opportunities to expand Iterative Health's clinical research site network and geographic reach.
- Partner with business and functional leaders to assess operational feasibility, investment requirements, and opportunities for scalable growth.
- Lead post-acquisition integration planning and translate transaction assumptions into measurable operating priorities and value-creation initiatives.
- Monitor post-close performance and refine integration processes to maximize transaction value.
Leadership & Executive Communication
- Establish scalable M&A processes, evaluation frameworks, approval workflows, and pipeline reporting.
- Present acquisition opportunities, financial analyses, transaction updates, and recommendations to the Chief Development Officer, executive leadership, and Board of Directors, as appropriate.
- Build relationships with industry executives, investors, founders, and advisors to strengthen deal flow and market intelligence.
- Mentor and develop corporate development team members as the function scales.

What You Bring to the Team
- Deep M&A expertise with strong healthcare/health-tech experience, executive presence, analytical rigor, and exceptional transaction execution skills.
- 8-10+ years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or a combination of these disciplines, preferably with experience in healthcare services, life sciences or an adjacent multi-site industry.
- Significant experience leading and closing complex acquisitions and strategic transactions.
- Demonstrated experience managing transactions across the full M&A lifecycle, from sourcing through integration.
- Strong understanding of healthcare, health-tech, life sciences, digital health, healthcare technology, or adjacent markets.
- Deep knowledge of physician practice management and financial management of physician practices to include reimbursement systems, metrics and operational challenges.
- Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, transaction structuring, and analytical capabilities.
- Experience presenting transaction recommendations to C-suite executives and/or Boards of Directors.
- Strong negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated external advisors and counterparties.

- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
