Wheeler Mission Ministries is a privately funded 501(c)3 non-profit, evangelical Christian ministry whose designated purpose is religious. We are a Christ-centered ministry which is dedicated to sharing the Gospel and helping those experiencing homelessness and those in need. Job Title: Program Manager

Team: Shelter for Men

Position Summary:

The Program Manager position supports the objectives of Wheeler Mission and is responsible for the facilitation, oversight, and development of Wheeler Mission Programs in collaboration with the Family and Extended Services Director.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Key Area : Program Oversight

- Assist guests achieve and sustain a thriving level of functioning across the sufficiency matrix domains.

- Provides direct supervision to program staff, meeting time management approval deadlines, and conducts performance reviews.

- Facilitate, oversee, and develop programs.

- Facilitate staff meeting as necessary.

- Assist staff with monitoring/serving guests.

- Build and maintain community relationships.

Key Area : Coordination and Collaboration of Services

- Implement and maintain Program Manuals to guide program activities.

- Collaborate with Director and staff to identify concerns and problems and present possible solutions.

- Update the Resident Tracker documentation database to ensure accurate and timely information.

- Equip staff for programmatic excellence within their position parameters.

- Ensure consistent implementation of approved program policies and functions .

Key Area : Communication and Reporting

- Interact professionally with staff, guests, and the public.

- Complete daily and monthly reports, demonstrating the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

- Promote a safe and welcoming environment using grace-based, trauma-informed, and strengths-focused techniques.

- Compile and send various reports and effectively be able to communicate the reports to others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

- Bachelors degree or a minimum of 4 years of successful experience in Case Management or Biblical Counseling (6 or more years preferred)

- Exceptional communication skills and knowledge of general life skills to assist guests in achieving long-term goals and building relationships with outside organizations.

Technical/Software Knowledge:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

- Ability to learn new software: HRIS software (Paycom) and Mission Tracker

Physical Requirements:

To perform the essential job functions of this position, a candidate must be capable of performing many physical functions including:

- Walking short distances with the ability to ascend and descend stairs.

- Physical dexterity sufficient to type and operate standard office equipment.

- Physical ability to perform normal office functions with the endurance to remain standing for long periods of time.

- Strength to lift office supplies and equipment up to 30 pounds.

Other Requirements for Employment

- This is a full-time 40-hour per week position. Must be flexible, with potential for working evenings and/or weekends.

- Must possess a valid state issued drivers license and have a driving record without major moving violations, including convictions for DUI, Reckless Driving, or Driving While Suspended. Must be insurable according to standards established by Wheeler Missions risk management insurance agency.
